We are delighted that our President, Xavier Castañer, recently participated in the official opening of 2021 Società Italiana di Management (SIMA), at the kind invitation of its president Sandro Castaldo.

Professor Castañer thanked the SIMA leadership for the many invaluable contributions it has made to IFSAM since joining in late 2020, including the nomination of Lara Penco as a representative of SIMA in our a General Assembly (alongside Sandro Castaldo), of Arabella Mocciaro as our secretary and Elisa Martinelli as our deputy secretary.

Professor Castañer also briefly explained the refocusing of IFSAM onto the development of soft policy about management research, education and practice, mentioning the recently released position statement of our GA on management research, as well as mentioned the new IFSAM awards.

He had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the presidents of member associations Kathrin Moeslein of EURAM and Nic Beech of BAM, as well as president Michele Pizzo of AIDEA and EGOS board member Gian Luca Mangia.

We are delighted to learn that BAM and SIMA will sign today a cooperation Memorandum of Agreement. Congratulations! This is a great example of the kind of initiatives we want to encourage and facilitate, within and across continents.
