Amanda Williams from IMD Lausanne Honored with the IFSAM Award for Excellence in Societally Relevant Management Scholarship [Brussels, Belgium] — The International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM) is pleased to announce that Amanda Williams, a Sustainability Research Fellow and Term Research Professor at IMD Lausanne, has been awarded the prestigious IFSAM Award for Excellence in Societally Relevant Management Scholarship for her exceptional contribution to advancing societal well-being through management research.
Established in 2021, the IFSAM Award for Excellence in Societally Relevant Management Scholarship recognizes outstanding published research that improves our understanding of how management scholarship can tackle societal challenges at both local and global levels.
The award demonstrates IFSAM’s commitment to fostering research that enhances academic knowledge and generates a meaningful positive impact on society.
The selection committee was particularly impressed by Amanda Williams’ body of work, which has demonstrated excellence in management scholarship and offers insights into addressing real-world problems. Amanda’s research lies at the intersection of sustainability management and social-ecological systems. She studies how organizations understand global sustainability issues and develop corporate sustainability strategies that align with global targets. Her work has deepened scholarly understanding and influenced management practices and policies globally.
