The eighth Presidents Platform Meeting on “membership engagement and value creation” took place on December 12, 2022. Prof Dr Dennis Hilgers who leads the Department Junior Researchers at the German Academic Association of Business Research (Verband der Hochschullehrerinnen und Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. – VHB) shared his insights about engagement activities with junior researchers in Germany.
Prof Dr Dennis Hilgers shared several strategies and initiatives used by VHB to engage junior scholars. For example, VHB runs doctoral workshops on specific methods and theories as one of their “products”. Several of these workshops are in English, thus enabling students from non-German-speaking countries to join.
