The Seventh Platform Meeting on “Conference Formats and Sustainability” took place on September 19, 2022. Arabella Mocciaro (President, SIMA – Società Italiana di Management) and Kerry Brown (President, ANZAM – Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management) kicked of the session with sharing their experience about conference formats and sustainability.

The session focused on the exchange of experiences and hacks for conference format and sustainability from our members. The discussion zoomed in strategies to engage with local communities in conference organizing, to join efforts to develop a conference sustainability  strategy, and to implement a “shadowing” system for office personnel from different IFSAM members to learn and exchange tips and tricks about conference organizing.

The next Presidents Platform Meeting (2 December 2022, at 2-4pm (CET) will be about sharing the key lessons and ideas for engaging members of the Associations and better define the contributions of Associations in terms of activities and services with respect to the scholar community.
