UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Work of Business & Management Scholarship

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and associated Grand Challenges are increasingly important in shaping the priorities and strategies of universities, business schools and the people who work in them. The SDGs drive purposeful, impact-oriented research and education. But this emphasis can be in tension with more traditional requirements for research performance and for education-related outcomes and revenue generation – for institutions and for individuals. This panel will examine these tensions and explore how they can be reconciled and even turned into a source of strength for business management research, education and positive impact alike.
