IFSAM is a remarkable meta-organization, bringing together scholarly associations of management from across the globe. As more in our community become aware of IFSAM’s work, and we continue to add member associations, it is important that our members and their communities understand and can contribute to the development of IFSAM’s strategy in the context of its development since its inception some 35 years ago.

This opening session, then, will include an account of IFSAM’s historical roots and recent rapid development, including an update on the new IFSAM strategic plan. The trajectory of IFSAM’s development and future purpose will be discussed by the immediate Past President, the current President, and the President-Elect. These are exciting times for IFSAM, and we hope you will join the session to learn about the initiatives that will take IFSAM into the next ten years and beyond.
